About me

My name is Caroline, I am a Life coach working from my own private practice in Bournemouth, also within easy reach of Poole and Christchurch in Dorset. 

I have always loved walking because it gives me a clear mindset to carry on the day in a positive way. After a walk I feel like I can deal with whatever life throws at me. I wanted to combine my passion for walking and my ability to listen to people, build trusting relationships and support them to make positive changes to their lives. I am now following my dream having trained and set up my own business as a Life Coach, providing walk and talk Life coaching for adults and children in Bournemouth and surrounding areas. 

There are so many physical and mental health benefits of walking outdoors. Stress reduction, boosting mood and increasing energy levels, are just a few of these benefits. Research has shown that physical activity can also improve cognitive function, creativity, and problem-solving skills

Increased engagement and motivation through walking and talking can help clients to achieve their personal and professional goals. These coaching sessions support clients to develop a habit of regular exercise, leading to long-term health benefits and improved overall wellbeing.

Experience

I have spent 15 years working in a leadership role in Early years, leading a large team, through challenging times. This has helped me to gain invaluable experience, providing motivational leadership and coaching people on a daily basis to be the best version of themselves.

Throughout my years of working with children and families, from diverse backgrounds, I have been able to use my experience to support families with children who have anxiety, or lack in confidence. 

I have also volunteered at a crisis Centre for young people showing signs of vulnerability. This enabled me to assess and support those who had been exposed to stress, trauma, and severe mental health challenges. 

 

Working with young people and understanding different types of behaviour/mental illness, inspired me to study for my counselling diploma. I am now able to work 1:1 with clients enabling them to work to their own agenda with a coach they can trust, connect with and share their feelings with.

Steps to Success is a holistic approach to personal development that combines the benefits of physical activity with the power of coaching conversations. Clients and coaches engage in walking sessions outdoors, allowing for a dynamic and energising environment that fosters creativity and mental clarity. 

With my gentle guidance, empathetic nature and experience of life coaching, clients can explore their challenges, strengths, and aspirations while taking positive steps towards a more fulfilling and balanced life.

Our outdoor sessions combine movement, fresh air, and meaningful conversations to create an experience that inspires growth, healing, and personal breakthroughs.

We also offer walk and talk coaching for children, which combines physical activity with talking therapy. These sessions involve going for a walk outdoors while having a conversation about the child's thoughts, feelings and concerns. Walking and talking,  help children to feel more relaxed and open up about their worries, and the physical activity can help to reduce any anxiety and stress.

During the walk, we provide guidance, and offer support to help the child explore their emotions, whilst developing coping strategies. This approach can be particularly effective for children who may find it difficult to sit still and talk about their problems in a traditional therapy setting.

Walk and talk coaching can be beneficial for children dealing with a range of issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, and behavioural problems. It can help them to gain clarity, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills. Additionally, being outdoors in nature can have a calming and grounding effect, further enhancing the therapeutic benefits of the coaching session.

Overall, walk and talk coaching for children can be a refreshing and effective way to support them in overcoming challenges and fostering their emotional wellbeing.

Our sessions take place along various routes around Bournemouth, but can also be tailored to suit individual needs. We are happy to walk in all weathers but understand if a certain weather condition isn't suitable for a client. In this case, we would arrange an alternative form of session.

How Long does each session Last?

Sessions last approximately 50 minutes

Where can we walk?

There are lots of suitable places around Bournemouth.

These include beaches, riverside walks and green open spaces. 

How far will we walk?

This depends on your level of fitness, we can go at a pace that is best for you.

What if I don't want to walk?

This is no problem at all, I have a therapy room which can be used instead or I can arrange online consultations if preferred.

What if I don't live in the area and am interested? 

No problem I can work online also. 

 

 

What about Confidentiality?

Whatever is disclosed in our sessions is confidential and will not be shared, unless I am concerned for your welfare, and this would always be discussed with you first. 

Fee's

£40 for 50 minutes. 10% discount for block bookings
